my lovely brushed aluminium Jamie Oliver frying pans have those brown cooked on stains on the outside. can anyone recommend something to clean them with? have vague notions of Kim and Aggie style white wine vinegar and lemon juice type solutions

According to my book ' Vinegar ; Nature's Secret Weapon'
'Give old saucepans a new lease of life by making a paste to clean the outside by mixing baking soda and vinegar together.This should make them look like new again'
