Will shortly be having a two-night stay at a village called South Scarle, near Newark in Nottinghamshire. Anyone know of any nice eateries in this area? Many thanks.

Cant help you in South Scarle but twenty minutes up the A46 and you get to Lincoln. Go into the Bailgate area (up the hill, near the Cathedral and Castle) and there are some GORGEOUS places.

Mig & Mitre on Steep Hill, Browns Pie Shop on Steep Hill, Gino's in the Bailgate, White Hart Bailgate and other random little eateries.

Give Lincoln a wave from me, 20 years I lived there and I now miss it dearly!

Many thanks for reply. Will check some of those places out.
There is a lovely Italian in Newark itself called Zizzi's. Its really nice, or Pizza Express (next to the canal) if you book a table in the glass dome it overlooks the water. They are both really nice classy places and great food!x

Thanks for that. Like the sound of the glass dome. Sounds lovely!
Zizzi would be my suggestion if you like Italian food.
