I have heard that Gunwharf Quays is getting a bit pricey, is this true, or is the place still full of bargains? It would take be over an hour to get there so I don't want to waste my time !

I've always thought it was expensive! I've never picked up any bargains from there personally, just thought it was quite expensive as they are all designer shops! Haven't been for ages for that particular reason!

The best time to go is in the sales. But I agree I don't think any of these places are that 'cut price'

The last time I went there which was about four years ago, it seemed like a permanent sale, but possibly times have changed.
I suppose it depends on what you are looking for i went there a couple of months ago, I found Monsoon was very good and if you buy from them you can return it to any of there stores in 7 days, M&S had some good bargains as did Next and Gap, watch out for the Cadbury shop though they sell there chocolate cheap but it's all out of date!!!!!
Went last Friday but only 'cos I had to pop over to Haslar hospital so killed two birds with one stone. OK place for a mooch round when not busy or nothing specific to buy, friend got very good deal on underwear in the Triumph shop and I got lovely jammies and obligatory M&S knickers (for hospital stay), yes, we went into the Cadbury shop, I'd be lying if I said just to have a look. Stopped for lunch in, but food in restaurants very expensive. Probably wont go again for some time and we only live 10 mins up M/way.
