If you want to use them towards your online grocery shop I think there is an option to use points when you checkout - you can specify how much you want to use, you don’t need to use them all at once.

I will have a look at my account and get back with more information if appropriate
From memory show your nectar card at the till and say that you wish to use you points in part payment
Oh I'm so sorry I didn't see the 'online' bit :-(
When you say "access them" what do you mean?

You can spend them in Sainsbury's, Argos, Cafe Nero, Ebay and one or two other places. You can see how many you have by setting up a Nectar online account or looking on your Sainsbury's till receipt.

You can allso spend with there partners

Ask at the till next time you spend there before you pay your bill

When you get to checkout it will tell you how many nectar point and their value you have. Click on redeem coupons and that will then give you the option of using your nectar points towards your shop. You can choose how much you want to use.
You need to marry your nectar account with your sainsburys account - if you struggle with this the helpful people at nectar can do it for you via their chat system.
Then when checking out online there is a section that asks if you want to add vouchers or nectar points - click this and it takes you to another section where you can specify how many points you want to use.
If you've amassed points by shopping in Sainsbury's I think your card must be married to your Sainsbury's account. Next time you pay look for the option to take money from your Nectar card. From memory it has to be in lumps of, say, multiples of £5 but you can just pay part of the bill with it.
One may have collected them from on-line shopping, but one is under no obligation to downd them the same way.

I have loads to use too. Never have spent any.
