..what’s your go to meal?
Ours is usually either cheese and tomato on toast, beans on toast with grated cheese on top, or scrambled eggs. Tonight it’s the first option.

Frozen jacket spuds with cheesy beans or tuna
Yesterday was one of those days, I had a tin of wild red salmon, boiled eggs and whatever survived in the salad drawer.

Bacon and baked beans on toast or cheeses on toast with Worcester sauce

Salad is a bit of a nuisance isn’t it mamy, in that it does tend not to survive very long in the salad drawer. I stopped buying lettuce for that reason, and cucumbers seem to go slimy just by being looked at.
I do my jacket potatoes in the microwave ,spray the skin with 1cal then finish them off in the oven for the skin to go a bit crispy ,
A ready made Sainsbury's honey mustard and chicken. Delish!

Strangely enough I like the smell of bacon frying but I don’t care for eating it, same as liver and onions, love the smell but wouldn’t eat either
Question Author
For jacket spuds I put the oven on, bung the spud in the micro for ten minutes while the oven heats up, then chuck it in the oven, unadorned with oil or anything, for ten minutes. Skin is always crispy crunchy.
Jacket spuds, cheese on toast, salads.
Question Author
Liver and onions is something I dreamt about having when I was in hospital, with creamy mash, carrot and turnip, and loads of thick onion gravy.
I make it for Mr B but I’ve never liked onions fried, too slimy and liver always looks dry although I always do him calf’s liver, he says “ You eat with your eyes” haha
