I have just placed an order for a set of kitchen scales from Tesco Direct, as I have been unable to find the one I want in any shop.

I should be able to collect it from my local Tesco Superstore on Friday afternoon. Does anybody have experience of how well this works ?

yes, really well
Yup loads it works well even turned up early on occasion
Not with Tesco but I do it with Boots and Waitrose all the time. Get a text when it's in and an email, works perfectly.
Click and Collect works well and is convenient, saves waiting in for delivery.
Don't do what I did - kept going back to Tesco store that I thought I had picked online - no my item wasn't there - wasn't their fault - I had picked another store.
What they've started doing now is if they've got it in the store then they give you it - so you could end up getting it same day!

Works well with John Lewis, can't really see Tesco being any different, other than just not as nice ;o)
I've had small kitchen appliances and utensils delivered with my shopping too, I found that useful.
I don't use them often but I remember ordering a Frozen doll for thing 1 and they brought it to me unpacked and totally spoilt the surprise (thing 1 was with me). I pointed out their error via email and they gave me a full refund.
I've used them a few times Mikey and never had a problem, you should be okay.
I have used them a couple of times, no problems at all mikey.
Ordered a new breakfast table and four chairs on Monday, said delivery would be between this Thursday and next Tuesday, came today a day early, that's what I call good service!
Baldric, what makes you think that John Lewis will be nicer than Tesco?
John Lewis are great. Their customer service is excellent.

Because I have been in both, we shop at Waitrose, and use Tesco for the odd Top-up for anything we may have forgotten as it's closer.
