Anyone tried this?

I was very disappointed - very little white crab meat although it was chunky and not flaked. Far too much brown meat that was horribly sloppy. Have I been unlucky or is this how it always is?

If you still have receipt take it to and see what Manager says I know it's unlikely receipt so down to experience. I'm surprised As we do a lot of weekly shop @ Aldi and not had a problem. Spose you could explain and see if they have had any other complaints, they may be honest or just take the shells and see what they say?
Is this a dressed crab?
hc there is always more brown meat in a crab. When dressed fresh it is the same. That is why white crab meat is always so expensive. It is taken mainly from the claws. dt will enlighten us if he spots the question. have eaten them in Cornwall for ever. It as always so.
was not as.

Yes, I know, togo, I buy a lot of fresh crab when it's available but this had added brown meat so the ratio was about 6/1 and the brown meat was just a sloppy ginger mince for want of a better description.

Sadly I don't have the receipt, TonyV. I've been pleased with Aldi's frozen lobster tails and the frozen salmon side. I will ask the manager if there has been other complaints, though.

Umm, it was advertised as dressed and I suppose it was inasmuch as the fingers had been removed, the brown meat (and added brown meat) placed in the body of the shell but the white meat was still in the claws.
