On a thread about dishwashers Crafty and I differed about the merits of owning one.
Just off to bed when I discovered my dishwasher is leaking all over the floor!
I think she put the evil eye on it....I will replace it though. :-) x

My dishwasher was also leaking all over the floor, but she's found her incontinence pads now, which is nice! ;-)

Mine did that once, but it was right underneath and I didn't know until the floor boards started lifting. What a mess.

Mine is underneath, shoved a tea towel under and it's soaked.....did notice some dried up water patches a couple of weeks ago but nothing since...may be a blip....with luck.
Mr BD's very elderly father lived with us and he had an equally old border collie called Billy. Bill had a growth on the side of his face, kidney trouble and numerous other ailments and dad paid a fortune every week at the vets. One summers day Billy, who had been lying in the garden for a couple of hours, walked slowly into the kitchen, looked at Mr BD and dad and proceeded to pee on the kitchen floor. This was very unusual as he was a lovely clean dog normally. The same thing happened a couple of times that week and Mr BD said to his dad that we would have to keep an eye on Billy because if he started walking through the house and peeing on the carpets then the house would begin to smell.
The following week I came home from work and dad was sitting very quietly in the lounge. He told me that he had taken Billy to the vets that day and had him put to sleep as he had peed in the kitchen again and it was obviously a sign he was losing control of himself. I offered to make him a cup of tea and set off down the hall. Just then Mr BD and his pal Steve returned from an afternoon playing golf so I quickly told them what had happened and told them to go in the front room and keep dad company and I would make us all a brew. As I set off down the hall Mr BD said "Oh be careful when you go into the kitchen as the floor might be wet. I put the dishwasher on just before we went to play golf and it started leaking so I switched it off". "You did mop it up didn't you" I replied. "Didn't have time" he said "we were running late as the game was booked for 1pm" All I can say is three very stunned people were staring at each other when it dawned on us what had happened. I took ages making that brew because I couldn't face his dad.
Question Author
Oh Blimey BD!!!!!! I can imagine the stunned silence....You never told Dad did you?
Noooo way. Ignorance is bliss. Billy was about 18 years old and really on his last legs but what a way to go. I went into work next day and told them all what had happened and they found it be hilarious. From then on my boss always introduced me to newcomers as "Mrs BD the dog murderer" and it wasn't even anything to do with me,
Question Author
Dog murderer!!!....Sad....but you've sent me to bed with a smile. x
