Cheaper Mirror?

Has anybody seen any mirrors similar to the one in the link, just not quite as expensive? I specifically want a free standing full length one and like this style, I just never realised how expensive mirrors are!

I have one from a shop changing room when they were doing a refurb. Got it for £20....so keep your eyes peeled for any shops having a makeover :-)

Hadn't thought of Tesco. Will have a look there as I have some unused voucher I could use towards it too.

I looked on John Lewis and they had loads and you could guarantee quality but they're just so pricey.

I've just discovered etching cream; am yet to have a go with it but basically you use a stencil and paint it onto glass; leave it for a minute or so; wipe it off and it creates a nice frosted effect. So if you find a cheap but plain mirror you could maybe have a go at etching to fancy it up a bit.

Never heard of that stuff before. Was it cheap?

I'm not particularly artistic so I think I'd need a few practice shots if I was to do that.

I searched Google then went to shopping result and there was some there for about £6 but not sure how much delivery is; you might be better off going to a shop like Hobbycraft because I've no idea how much you need to put on to make it work! I've only recently heard of it so have yet to have a go; will definitely be practising on something first when I do! There are a few tutorials on YouTube available if you want a demonstration!

You can get etching spray and stencils from Hobbycraft. A can goes quite far.

We have to have the ceilings pulled down in the hall and landing...so pointless doing anything until that's done. Actually, by the sound of it it's pointless cleaning the house at all until it's done :-)

I will do, been looking at loads of tips online about to get the best job out of it.

Far too much dust and mess created by all that work being done. I'm with you, no point cleaning til it's done :)

Ooh didn't know you could get spray; that sounds much easier! Have got a mirror that I bought from a car boot that I wasn't sure what to do with actually; might do some etching on it!
