Lost post office parcel reciept

If you send something back you have bought online but loose the post office reciept you get as proof of sending, does the post office keep its own records or is there no way round it?

no they don,t do that
If it's one with a tracking number and you know that, it's traceable. But if you don't know the number/there never was one there's nothing to be done.
