I want to buy my brother and my sister-in-law something nice for their tenth wedding anniversay. Personally I would have shot him by now, she must love him.

I think that 'tin' or 'aluminium' is the type of gift for this anniversary. Apart from an expensive tin of 'something' can anybody give me suggestions.

You could get them a romantic day out, I know someone who did that and they had a great time. They went for lunch at a posh restaurant and then a boat ride, it all sounded really nice, but it depends how much you want to spend.
If you want to go cheap, champagne flutes are really nice, especially if you get decorated ones that they can put on show even if they never use them.
Not Tin but a nice gift, have a look on

In the anniversary section there is a lovely engraved bottle of wine or champagne. 25 for the wine or 45 for Champagne and thats delivered. You also get a message of your choice engraved on the back.

A great gift.
