should i go?

I doubt i'll find a prom date, my best friend isn't going but several of my other friends are.

Plus what to wear? i have a silver dress that i wore to a wedding last year that goes to my knees, is that too short. can i wear gold accesories with it and a silver tiara, as my hair is a kind of rusty gold gold, but not quite auburn colour?

i look these shoes and would wear them again. http://www.newlook.co...gory=cat10013&icSort=

but silver and gold are har to pull off together, i'll try and find a dress similar to mine.

the dress is similar to this http://images.google....p%3D21%26tbs%3Disch:1

except it hasn't got any straps, the waist band bit it plain silver and it hasn't got chunky sparkles on it, but tiny ones that make it glisten.

Its either the dress i've already got or no dress, i can afford to spend about £20 on stuff for the outfit so have to work with what i got.

Your second choice for the shoes. They would look far better with that dress. The dress looks nice. I quite like silver and gold together - it can look quite good. Go and enjoy yourself.
Question Author
The second pair probably go better, but are higher so . . .

plus i do have newlook vouchers so i still have another £20 max for other stuff.

My dress is also slightly more greyey blue.
Unless it's supposed to be a surprise, why don't you take your dress etc to your friend's when you go tonight (which you mention on the art thread) and have a good trying-on and experimenting session, see which looks better together? - most of all you need to be comfortable in whatever you decide to wear for your big night out at the prom!
you can try this one, http://www.milanoo.co...ale-Prom-Dresses-c394
it's a online store, it has many items on prom dress.
i wish you will like it.
good luck.

I didn't see that idea but it would have got crumpled on the way, plus its hard to decide, when we haven't got the shoes with us, the best way which is a bit impractical, is to wear the dress to the shops and try the shoes on with them.
Question Author
Or, my hair is almost auburn, so should i find some, probably strappy shoes that have gold silver and bronze in them, i'll try and find a picture.
Question Author
like these, but ones that i can walk in and cheaper.

Actually i looked again and they're only £15 hmmm, but i don't think i would be able to walk in them.
Oh Mollykins you will need some "party feet" to go inside those shoes. And yes you should go and have a lovely time.
lots of ideas on what to wear at http://www.ukprom.com
in particular http://www.ukprom.com/promdresses.html for dresses
hope this helps
