I am really disappointed with the selection of posh frocks available for Christmas parties, I would have thought with the whole Strictly thing going on, everyone would want sparkley dresses, but nope, nothing stunning in the shops at all. Really disappointed with these shops buyers. Anyone agree. Any buyers out there want to give me a reason why so much drab stuff about. And black, don't get me on the subject of black!

My wife just bought two "posh frocks" off ebay for £10 each.

One arrived just yesterday.

Boden has a few sparkly dresses, and Monsoon usually does, although I haven't really looked there recently. I used to hate shopping at this time of year because the shops were filled with sparkly party stuff when I just wanted normal everyday things.

It's always the same when I shop. I will be looking for black and everything is red. When I shop for red everything black!!! I will try Mondoon, but have most probably left it too late now.

Why not try a charity shop. Some do posh frocks. There's one near me that always has a good stock of very sparkly,swishy dresses on excellent condition.
