Why do they do it? Must be a mid life crisis thing.

:-))

And on that lovely note, I'm off. Have a nice evening :-)
Maybe they wear it because it's comfortable!!
The trouble is that when Mr LL is gardening or decorating in said holey jeans and then decides he needs something from town, he happily goes out in them!!! (I don't go with him!!)
Bye flip
White trainers should be kept in the gym. Why the issue just with men some women should not be seen in jeans at any age?
dave50...this comment says far more about you as a person in a negative way, than it does about the 40 yr old men wearing white trainers and jeans...
↑↑ bit ironic Neil isn't in blue jeans.
Guys of ANY age should not wear jeans and white trainers.

It SO doesn't work.

Jeans are for casual wear.

White trainers are for ... well, training.
But can an older guy wear a hoodie to match trainers & jeans--lol

Instead of jeans shouldn't they be wearing track suit bottoms?
Jeans and trainers appear to have become the 'norm' for many. They are everywhere. Whatever happened to the smarter dressers? Recently when attending a school parents' evening it seemed like a Levi and Adidas promotion. Virtually all the guys were in their so-called casual wear My blazer and flannels with buttoned up shirt and tie almost became a conversation piece. Have you noticed the jeans and trainers also make appearances at restaurants, wedding receptions, theatre visits and the like. Each to their own I guess. Maybe my traditional wear is obsolete. But I don't give a jot.
I usually only wear Jeans for fishing, working or sometimes walking Max. To be honest I don't feel comfortable " going out" in them perhaps it's a hang over from when I was a lad in the 60's when it was the norm (at least where I lived) to go out smartly dressed and as for white trainers I haven't bought any since a stroke put an end to most of my sporting life
OH wears jeans all the time except for formal events - his trainers are grey (really grey, not dirty!).
