Thats funny cos it's true what-the?. Crete is right angelap.
Actually, it's traditionally the day when alms boxes in churches were opened and the contents distributed to the poor.
I never knew that, saxy, good one. I'd always thought it was as crete said, giving the servants their pressies in boxes. We've always called it St Steven's day, but they look at you a bit funny in England and say 'What's that then?' so we don't anymore.
