I feel there are hates everywhere about Christmas. For me, I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas coz its the time of the year where all the families get together to sing, eat and enjoy every minute that they can.
I understand that most people who don't like Christmas are with small family or no family at all. I have a small family myself which is just me, my daughter and my husband, but combining all the family from my side and my husband's side just makes the event a perfect gathering.
I'm not being judgemental but rather an observation and I hope I don't hurt anyone's feelings with what I just said.
Let us all go in peace so we can make the world a better place for us and for our future generation to come.
Sorry to hear that you cannot get excited over Christmas, but I don't understand why when it's the only time of year when all our families get together.
See, there's the problem right there! You claim "each to his own", yet you refer to those of us who don't share your views of Christmas as "Scrooges". I wonder if you even know who Scrooge was... I find comparison with a miserly fictional character extremely insulting.
The final paragraph of your post seems to imply that Christmas is the only way to make the world a better place...
> it's the only time of year when all our families get together.
What complete and utter nonsense! If you mean that it's the only time of year when all YOUR family gets together, then that further underlines your total inability to comprehend that not everybody thinks the same way as you...
"I understand that most people who don't like Christmas are with small family or no family at all." Absolute bunkham as far as I an concerned. . . . . I am alone at Christmas and indeed throughout most of the year too, (like many others). What I would like is to be valued throughout the year by family members . . . not left feeling like an add on just to appease them at Christmas as far as I am concerned they can stick their good will and festive spirit where the monkey stuck his nuts!!!
That's why, when your eldest get to 16 and won't even get out of bed on Christmas morning, you have another child Pix, so you get to relive the magic over again.
lol.... I will have to relive it with the grandkids... if i had one of my own we wouldn't be celebrating anyway ;) Hope you all have a great time boo xxx
you seem to have very little knowledge of other peoples lives or what you are even saying it would seem...
you are in fact being very judgemental and making all kinds of assumptions - to the point of actually calling people names because they dont get all giddy at the thought of christmas.
and far from your xmas being perfect i think its rather sad that the ONLY time your family get together is a xmas...
Pdust, that's exactly how I feel at the moment, this is the first year my youngest doesn't believe and it's really hard mustering up any enthusiasm.
Sagz, Merry Christmas to you and yours.
