Hi there just wanted to ask if anyone can give me some advice on behalf of my sister. Every night when she goes to bed she sees figures or things in her room!! she is aware of it and is nearly waiting for it to happen. For example she will look at her curtains and they will change into something which is vaigue but she cant really explain and she also says that items will change into people. She will see them really clearly. It is quite strange as she has had this for years and she is a twin and her twin sister has the same thing happen to her sometimes too!! They will even call their husbands in the night to look at what they are seeing and the husbands can see nothing! Any feedback on this would be greatly welcomed

It's a natural phenomenon that our senses are finely tuned at night time, it's a time where in nature we would be more vulnerable to attack. Some people are more sensitive to this than others. I experience similar, especially at times when I'm feeling a bit stresses or isolated - I believe it's all in the mind and that your sister just needs to learn to re-assure herself of this.
It might help if she turns this into something creative, perhaps memorising what she's seen then drawing/painting it.

What a great idea if she put it on paper it may help her to rationalise it all. Thanks Answerprancer
look up sleep paralysis
When I was young I had a sleepover at my friends house and in her bedroom was a picture of santa sat next to a bed of sleeping children and as I stared hard at it I remember him moving and pulling presents out his sack. I then remember getting my friends parents to call mine so they could come pick me up lol
I keep seeing Karen in my bedroom.
Keeps me up all night.
I suffer from this when I am stressed or if the doctor has been tinkering with my psychiatric medication. I mainly hear things - usually a couple of words in a voice that is recognisable (friend/family etc). I had a long conversation with my last cat one night.

It can be frightening to start with and then it is just annoying.
