Could we communucate with and/or meet aliens? I think most accept that the existence of aliens is statistically almost certain and that similarly, with current technology and understanding of physics, that any form of communucation is unlikely if not impossible. Now let's say we had warp 10 travel and comms and subspace etc etc, would we then be able to contact/communicate with aliens. Baring in mind at Warp 10 it would still take a month to get to the closest star. Naomi, your stage is set!

welll Naomi, would we be able to communicate with aliens if star trek were a reality? I think the question is quite clear, you mentioned on Andyvon's thread that we don't know if one day star trek technology would be a reality, I'm just asking about the potential.
