nobody knows thats the magic of evolution. People can only guess. My guess would be that humans would develop something to stop nuclear exposions.

yeah but thats not evolving thats creating!

Extinct...
incuriam is right.  We'll all cark it before the next stage in evolution is noticed.  I suspect the rats / molluscs will be the next benefactors of this planet.
Robots.  Don't you watch the movies??
I don't think humans will evolve much now, because there is no survival of the fittest anymore. But I heard that our little toes may shrink, and our heads will grow due to increased brain capacity.

giant lilly pads! their genome is 40 times longer than us!! what's all thet about??   xx

Apparently, evolution is not entirely driven by the quest for improved chances of survival. Anyone who was watching Channel 4 on sunday evening would have seen that Dolphins have evolved in a convergent fashion to humans, even though the capacities for their survival were radically different.

Also, the next leap in human evolution should be for us to use more than 10% of our brains. Then perhaps we could do something really impressive.
okay skip the monkeys out of that - they share an evolutionary ancestor with us but we did not evolve from them, we evolved from something monkey-like as you'll read everywhere. although when they refer to us as one of the great apes, that's because that is basically what we were before we left africa. of course, all of this is speculation & inductive logic, there's not an awful lot of actual proof for it, but it makes the most sense
You know The Borg? We'll probably become something like that.

I don't want to get all philisophical on you, well actualy I do. we and almost every other living thing are evolving all the time and if you mean at what point does a seperate species emerge from the human race then it would be impossible to guess either the direction or the time scale involved. However, since evolution theory concentrates more and more on selections and mutations at the genetic level and science is increasingly interested in manipulating genes to cure diseases, create athletes etc then humans are seeking to have a greater say in the process of evolution and that is very very frightening.

A bit like a cross between a millipede and an armadillo.  i.e. a long armadillo-type creature with a pair of legs every 9 inches or so, and it's about 200 feet long.  And it's got a long fluffy pink mohican-type hair thingy along its back.
aaaah, the famous millidillo
Circle of life my friend we all become sludges again

i don' wanna be sludge!!!!!!!!!!!!

is there no alternative!?!

Harakiri
We are still evolving and will continue to. Since the 60's womens legs have become fatter because of the excessive wearing of mini skirts
By the laws of Evolution's "Survival of the Fittest", surely in the not too distant future we'll all be fitter, stronger and more intelligent. Maybe the likes of hair will become irelevant in the future? Who know. And in a Milenia's time we could be a single unique race/skin colour do to mixed-breeding of different ethnic groups, We'll be a superace!!!11 only time will tell.
