Sorry, I was told the moon is the back of the sun. Can someone explain to me why?
I can't explain it... because its complete bullsh!t.

Look at a chart of the Solar System...

The sun is huge and hot and the moon is comapratively tiny and not hot, and in different parts of the sky, maybe someone is thinking it is like the susan boyle/knobby theory , you never see them in the same place at the same time.

snags - I know it's utter gibberish - I haven't managed to find anybody to give a believable answer (if possible) explaining that it could be yet....

It would have to bend one's perception and be convincing though.......

At certain times of the month you can see the sun and the moon in the sky at the same time.
However, i do believe that Dawn French and Lenny Henry are the same person as I've never seen them together.
^ pmsl... the dark side of the Dawn?
Any elephants involved here?
In a couple of hours you will see both sun and moon in the sky - IF your awake.
Theoretical physics suggests that a spoonful of the sun would weigh a ton because it's so dense in it's matter.......how can we apply that theory to ussuns on AB.lol
ussuns..........wots that razz?

The Moon is the back-side of Sun Myung

mibn2cweus - A very good answer. It proves that the moon is the back side of the sun. Well done!

Problem solved !!!
As gleaming with pride as I am over that answer I don't suppose I should be looking forward anytime soon to a Nobel Prize nomination . . . or a place reserved for me in heaven either. Neither of these facts diminish my appreciation for the stars in the least. :o)
