Strange effects of Furosemide?

Since I have started taking Furosemide a week ago I have discovered that my chronic acid reflux (for which I take Lansoprazole) has all but disappeared. I have not taken my Lansoprazole for over a week which is astounding. I can't find anything in the literature (I'm a nurse!!) that suggests this can occur. I'm presuming the fluid loss in my body has in some way reduced the volume of stomach acid in me.

Anyone care to agree or disagree?

Complete guess - reduction in interstitial fluid mass means that the weight of your abdominal walls is less, so presses less heavily on your stomach. Or perhaps a less oedematous gastro-oesophageal junction is functioning better.
