Is this some sort of crossword clue? The reality is that there a number of possible answers to your question, many of which have indeeed been found to be not as toxic as previously thought.
The old terms for the alkaloids produced by decomposition (esp,.that of human remains) were "putrescene" and "cadavarene".

But I'm with theprof on this one - Is this a crossword or something?
