Zooplankton are very small animals that eat phytoplankton and other zooplankton.

isnt there aprogramme to breed certain algaes and plankton commercially to help remove soem of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?

Beso's correct. Plant plankton (phytoplankton) feed by means of phtosynthesis. The animal plankton (zooplankton) feed on the phytoplankton!!
