hi, im not sure if this is possible but if you can work it out i would be very greatful!
i would like to know if anyone can give me the values of O, E and V from these sums. i do know that O > E > V.

4O + 5E + V = 82
O + 7E + 2V = 77

any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I assume that you are looking for integer answers here.

rewritinig the second equation and multiplying by 4 gives:
4O = 308 - 28E - 8V

substitute in the first equation and rearrange to get:
23E + 7V = 226

This gives:
E=1, V=19 or
E=8, V=6

since E > V it must be the second one.

Therefore,
O=9, E=8, V=6
Sorry, should have been:

E=1, V=29 - not 19
