Can anybody explain in simple terms, why it is important to 'normalise' the time and the angles for the subjects used in gait analysis?
Many thanks in advance for any information.

With any given number of data sets, it would be necessary to normalise the temporal and spatial gait, because measurements are taken at different joint angles in different data sets. Therefore, the first step of the analysis is to normalise the data sets to a uniform length.
