hi guys,
i have been looking at velcro on various websites and the best i have seen is able to hold 15kg for every 50mm x 100mm strip. this is ok but imagine if i wanted to hold like a person to the ceiling or something? is there anything velcroesque that has the same benefits, such as clean and reusable, but is so much stronger? or any industrial velcro that is stronger than your usual type?

magnets not included.

thank you

Try suction cups. They're clean and reusabe.
rivet gun?
why do you want to hold someone on the ceiling ??
I think you'll find that those figures apply only when sticking something to a vertical surface, and that they would be considerably lower where the weight is applied directly perpendicular to the velcro.

Have you thought of turning the room upside-down and just placing them on the ceiling?
You can certainly stick a person to a ceiling using velcro, your stated figures are 15kg per 5000 sq mm, my back and legs could be considered as a rectangle of 1500 x 200mm giving an area of 300000 sq mm, this is 60 times greater than your example and so could support 900kg (now I know I'm overweight but not that much!). Allowing for the fact that not every sq mm of surface area of a body would necessarily be in contact you would still be able to easily support 100kg.

i dont actually want to stick anybody to the ceiling, well i do, but thats not my plan. i was just using it as an example.

suction cups are ok but they are not the kind of thing that im looking for. rivet gun? i think not

ive heard that there is a material being developed that is based on the tiny hairs on a geckos body which bind to individual atoms, allowing the gecko to stick to anything with huge 'stickiness'.

something along these lines if there is anything please
