I've always known it as the philtrum.
fo3nix is correct in stating that it's correct name is the Philtrum. Another name is the Infranasal Depression.

What I like about this word is that it's spelt Philtrum on both sides of the Atlantic, and that's very unusual.
Prof, how can you say it's unusual when all the other words in that sentence (and this one) are also spelled the same on both sides of the Atlantic?
Um... except maybe for "spelt".....
