Conan The Destroyer got hold of my Nivea Creme and now it's all over the living room carpet.

Any tips re salvage?

I think you'll just have to buy a new pot...

Mop it up with kitchen towels, and dab or scrub with water and washing up liquid.

Get as much of it as you can up with dry towels (it will wash out) then rent a carpet shampooer

Use the flat side of a blunt knife or the edge of an old credit card to scrape off the excess first before following the above tips.

Yes, but we're replacing the carpet anyway. It's hideous and probably dates back to WW2.
