No, it's a cruel and barbaric practice. It shows a complete disrespect for the ghosts that are used in this so-called 'sport'.

It is only unethical if you use bait that is not edible (in other words you deceive them). This is the same as fishing where it is perfectly ethical (if unkind) to catch a fish using a real maggot, but not using a pretend maggot or lure.
