from what I have read on the various school threads I would imagine all the adults on AB will be carrying on completely unaffected ;)

We've had snow for the first time here overnight, now just turning to slush. Out and about this morning, roads are fine. Are you in touch with Mrs_O, how did yesterday go?
No, barely seen a snow flake in my part of Devon.

I really don't mind the snow, im quite looking forward to it.
getting stir crazy cos i can't take the dog for her usual five mile hike
The paths are solid ice.

Sib.....will email her later.x

Ratter I have deep, deep snow and I love it. Just thought one or two people seemed a bit grumpy and I loved the photo sharing thread.
In my street....I've only been to the corner shop since Saturday morning.
I went out shopping last Wednesday and haven't left home since. I am terrified of falling over and besides I daren't even drive down our drive. The joys of living remotely. And yes I am grumpy, well grumpier than normal.
No, it looks great, 'specially with the sunshine on it today.
Dogs haven't been as far as usual, but they've had the garden so no probs there.
Should be able to get a car out later for a bit of shopping, so it's been OK.

I need to go shopping but don't like the look of the road.
I am cautious because I have arthritis and borderline osteoporosis though cazz - unlike the majority of youngsters. I never used to be like this. I actually used to carry on as normal until about 5 years ago. A fall could prove very serious for people like me.

Really not worth the risk, Lottie.

Cazz.... :-)

I'm a long, long way from the nearest shop.......Haven't been able to get out since last Thursday...but hey...I can play snowballs with the kid down the road....and it's so pretty. x
Can you get deliveries, gness?
We have 5" of snow and it is still coming down. Would anyone like some ?
the good news is that temperatures increase marginally on saturday going from -2 to 5c
I went as far as the bird table the other day ummmm and slid and jolted my back. It was quite frightening. The last fall I had I fractured a vertebra.
Ouch.
Guillie, we have enough here in North Norfolk, probably about the same thickness, although it is not snowing now. It's the ice now that is frightening. So thanks for your offer, but no thanks ;o)
Clear here, some ice this morning but most of that has gone since being out early this morning....the light on in the car twice when it was slippery underfoot. Rather glad we haven't had more, though we may be in for more later - at least its wet and won't hang around. The fear is ice forming over the wet stuff.

The pics on Ann's thread were rather fun.
