Mild Hypothermia?

If a patient had a body temp of 35 degrees centigrade .....and her respiratory rate had risen to 20 per minute...would giving oxygen via hudson mask @6 litres help her resp rate return back to normal. (fictitious patient) shes not shivering either !!

I am not an expert but a few comments based on first principles.

Patient temp 35degC is only mildly hypothermia and in my opinion needs warming only and not oxygenation.

A breathing rate of 20 \min is no "big deal" and just needs monitoring.

As for you question, yes, if one did give O2 the way you described then her respiratory rate would fall.
