My head is a good weather forecaster, felt dreadful all day, woke up feeling very tired with heavy muzzy feeling in head and thumping headache. I knew it was the weather! Its been thunder and lightning for the past 3 hours so I know its the pressure, anyone know why some people get this thunder headache (as I call it) and not others?

It's due to changes in air pressure and humidity.

Wht do some people get them and some don't?................no idea.

Strange because the sky is now brightening and air clearing (put my nose outside the door and since this second storm its much less humid now) and I feel a weight has lifted from my head, its most peculiar ............. my family laugh at me, say I'm better than the Met Office! Not nice though ............... :)

My daughter is the same Ann. She`s suffered headaches all her life and knows when a storm is brewing. I never get headaches but did have a pair of curtains that stuck on the rail when it was going to rain.
Do sympathize. x
Me too.... absolutely evil heads that don't respond to normal pain kilolers. Syndol used to help as they sent me to sleep now use antihistamines for a similar effect.

A lot of the country seems to be missing the storms. See on here

At the moment our road is like a river and we are building an ark :)
My ears can go funny with menieres in weird weather, not sure if that's from the same thing (Sqad, if you know?). Had thunder and lightening in Manchester but only a bit of rain so far though only just across Manchester it's been flooding and all sorts!
Im not alone yay!! been feeling rough for days and im waiting for the storm to break, the only day of relief was yesterday because i was out in the rain :)
I have those too Ann. Thought it was just something that was in my head, if you know what I mean. Had thunder & lightening here, resulting in a stinking headache and a really 'heavy' feeling . Could do with going to bed really, but don't want to miss the Olympics :)
