Please help... i am trying to remember an old movie which was either B&W, or early colour. Story was around christmas time i think where a father was diving in the sea off the coast from a toxic waste (poss' nuclear) plant, the boy was in the boat & suffered from a toxic leak, then dies at the end of the film. He also had a loyal dog, or dogs.

Trying to remember name of female childrens tv presenter!
