If it has now been established that fracking for oil caused earthquakes in the region what were the after effects of the underground nuclear explosions?

I suppose it would depend where they took place. The Nevada desert probably isn't near any fault lines.

It's not just the fault lines, it's the bedrock and the depth or shallowness of the boom.
I meant where the nuclear blasts took place. You do have to wonder about their long-term effects.

According to my map Nevada desert is quite close to the San Andreas fault line that skirts California
I think you're drawing conclusions where it may not be appropriate to do so

a bit like saying if a loose dog in a China shop can do that much damage how much damage could a bull in a paddock do?

The Geology is going to be pretty different.

Another question though

If we can't predict Eathquakes could we determine a risk situation and set them off at a known "safe" time after an evacation?
