I've been using Betadine ointment for many years. Being a long-term diabetic, it is imperative that I treat lesions, no matter how small, to avoid infection. Betadine ointment has always performed magnificently in this regard.

I am now told that this appointment is no longer available in the UK.
Can any one tell me why it has been banned, or what alternative is recommended.
