software for jobseeking - a hub or control panel?

i am freelance and have to regularly check sites, check emails, send messages, save addresses, email addresses, company details, create files to attach, send invoices, etc etc...and i just wondered if there was a type of software specifically to help with this...to create a sort of "hub", or "control panel" that i could go into and have all that information at my fingertips in one place?

at the moment its all over my computer and its just in my memory where things are...

any ideas?

(NB i work behind the scenes in film, tv, theatre and arts etc)

So you're looking for some kind of 'virtual filofax' software?
MS Project, or similar?

yes kind of, just want to be able to keep it all in one place, easily - all accounts linked up on one place, databases, folders, files, search results, email, relevant website links etc etc...

havent seen ms project... is that part of office or a download?

jusy looked at msproject...its similar but thats more geared to running a company, so not really suitable

ive searched for jobseeking/career management software but not found anything yet
