I have seen this answered as Donkey
Makes sense. You don a key.

thanks mazie and squarebear but I cannot think what donkey has to do with the wearing of a legend.
Hi st-charles

i suggested donkey previously
to don something is to wear something, or put it on.
a legend can be a key to a graph or map

not sure it's correct but tis' the best i could do :-)

just to throw a spanner in the works, I immediately saw the anagram foal
in: of a l egend.
No real indicator that it's an anagram though.
Thanks mazie, actually it may have been on another site.. anyway glad it's ok
A foal is the young of an animal not an animal type though
and what squarebear said
Question Author
