Can anyone help with this place, today, please?

"The hardy (or foolhardy) gather on this town's beach today for an annual swim whose origins date back 100 years. Miles of sand, medieval walls and a handy national park make it popular with tourists, who also take boat trips to a 1000 year old monastery. The first oranges seen in the country were unloaded here. Name the town"

Usual four pictures - a picture of an old guy with a grey beared, round spectacles, holding a pipe in his right hand, and sitting in front of two metal busts, some palm trees, a guy in a wet su it braving the waves on a beach and some houses painted in pastel colours, with bunting hanging between the rooftops.

Am completely stumped. Many thanks, Chox.
