Can anyone recommend a book about retro tv programmes? I've a friend who just loves all the old retro TV progs like Colditz, Man from Uncle etc. Buying him a DVD boxed set is a waste of time as he belongs to one of those DVDs by mail clubs, so I wondered if anyone could recommend a book that might be of interest. I've been looking on Amazon, but maybe I'm not putting the right searches in because I can't seem to find anything. Thanks everyone. Merry Christmas.

Hi bizzy perhaps you might be interested in a book called 'Nice To See It, To See It, Nice' by Brian Viner (1970's) or 'All in the Best Possible Taste' by Tom Bromley (1980's)
Both books available on Amazon.
Hope this helps.
I've got a book from 1999 called "The Ultimate TV Guide" written by Jon E.Lewis and Penny Stempel and published by Orion Media.

I've also got a book from 2001 called "The Penguin TV Companion" by Jeff Evans.

Both books deal with programmes from days gone by.
