I don't own one. I do know my car (2 years old) will play one. So knowing nothing, if I buy one how do I put the music I like on to one. I told you I know nothing so please be simple in any replies.

Step 1: Get the music you want (in MP3 format) onto your PC. If you've got the tracks on CDs, simply put the CD into your PC's drive, open Windows Media Player and follow the instructions to rip the files to to your hard drive. Alternatively download MP3 files (preferably legally) to your hard drive. Amazon has millions of tracks available.

Step 2: Plug your MP3 player into a USB port. Many models connect directly

Others might come with a USB cable.

Step 3: Go to 'My Computer' and you'll see your MP3 player as a new drive. Double-click its icon to show its contents.

Step 4: Go to 'My Music' (or wherever else you've stored your music files). Click-and-drag tracks, or folders containing tracks, across to your MP3 player's window.

Job done.

PS: I'm assuming that your car radio has a socket for an external input. Simply connect your MP3 player's headphone socket, via a suitable cable, to that socket. Then, if the radio doesn't automatically change sources when you plug a cable into the socket, select 'Aux', 'Ext', 'MP3' (or whatever else your radio might label the external source) instead of 'AM. 'FM' or whatever.
- Load the CD (obviously with the music of you liking) in the computer.

- Connect the MP3 player to the computer

- Right click your mouse, the different drives will show amongst other features

- Put the cursor on D drive - Most likely this is where the CD is

- Another window of features will pop up

- Click on send to

-The MP3 player drive will be E, F, G, H

- Select the MP3 player drive

- The music will then copy to the MP3 player.

This is one of the ways in which copying music to MP3 could be done. I’m certain someone else will come along to help too. Perhaps they would give a more simple method in which it could be done.
Chris, your post wasn't there when I started typing.
There are transmitters that plug into MP3s, they're tuned to FM and play thru the radio

Thankyou all for your answers. It sounds complicated to me. Maybe I'll stick with CD's. (I am still playing vinyl records at times, that's in the house not the car) lol.
