Finding this crossword particuarly difficult this week. Been poring over it for days now, but still can't get some of the answers. Can anyone help pl?
13a: Goddess starting to spell out list of vowels (6) I have ?t?e?e Is it Athene? But if so, how does this fit the clue?
19a: For Greek character, nothing in the way of motorists' sport (7,3) I have ??r?????n?
18d: Epithet for C, not K, applied to Q, say, in a twist (8) I have ???l????
19d: Caught one in five with novel effect (7) ??c????
29a: Last hour of foreign student, last of many (8) ??e???t?

Well, what can I say? Here is proof yet again of what a bunch of very clever people we have on this web site! These clues are all very clever and I can understand now how I didn't spot the answers. My lack of French let me down with 29a and I'd never heard of the word fictive (19d). 18d was wickedly obscure.
