I read somewhere recently that all free on-line entries to TV competitions were disregarded. Surely that can not be the case, and if it is, it must be against competition rules and should be investigated. What do others think?

Don't think they'd be allowed to do this. But I once tried to use the 'enter online for free' option but when I went on the website it still gave a phone number (albeit not at the same extorbitant premium rates) which I had to ring.
And I suspect the free entries do sometimes get 'overlooked' or put at the bottom of the pile
I enter all competitions by the free internet option. Sometimes I win. I've never won the big ones like GMTV but a friend of mine did. £50,000 just before Christmas.
'The Chase' on ITV used to have a free online option for the dumb Audience Question, but then they changed the format by adding an extra question on the phone line.
I've also had lower division wins by the online route. Still waiting for THOSE big wins.
They're better than sitting on your hands if the mags have already sold out!
