MM Links Solutions June 2010 [Week 3]

I am running very late today ~ thanks to Father’s Day! I had just printed off entries at 5 o’clock in time to do my usual two hours of scoring and analysis, when son Daniel and his family arrived with cards from him and one from grandson, Harry. I just have time to post the links and then there’ll be a delay!
Based on “The Examination Season”, tearinghair went with the following links:

There are lots of points in the offing, so you’ll have to be patient.
On the positive side, two days’ ago I received an email from Jennifer (aka caslass) who underwent emergency surgery three weeks’ and has just been discharged from hospital. I’m sure that I speak for you all, when I wish her a speedy recovery!

I'm so glad to hear that you've had contact with Caslass & that she is alive - if not precisely well. And I echo Christiana's sentiment that she takes up her 'turn' once she feels up to it. Get well soon Caslass! As usual no points for me, but thanks to you & Tearinghair for giving me the fun of trying.
The early birds were sharp for Round 3 with all four links going to the first three entrants. Once again the prodigal son (Alibobs) struck with a vengeance when he was found standing on a LEVEL CROSSING to claim TWO POINTS (once again). As if being a replay of last week, he was followed immediately by roslyn251254 with two brand new options in PAPER CHASE and SCRIPT WRITER for a massive FOUR POINTS.
Entrant #3 was the mighty Grenmus, who blew the game wide open with Script Writer and QUESTION TIME for yet another FOUR POINTS. With all four links already detected, I was expecting a bloodbath. I wasn’t wrong ~ when there came a string of “two pointers” as gen2, Christiana, Aquagility, owllady, lysander and grannydi beat the clock to score double points.
Entrant #3 was the mighty Grenmus, who blew the game wide open with Script Writer and QUESTION TIME for yet another FOUR POINTS. With all four links already detected, I was expecting a bloodbath. I wasn’t wrong ~ when there came a string of “two pointers” as gen2, Christiana, Aquagility, owllady, lysander and grannydi beat the clock to score double points.
However, these were eclipsed by jan1956 and Dustybun who each delivered a double whammy to match the Four Points scored earlier by roslyn251254 and Grenmus. However these performances failed to match the incredible triple whammy of centrino for an unbelievable SIX POINTS. I therefore take enormous pleasure in nominating centrino as HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK!

It was grannydi who the last entrant to benefit from bonus points and as the game advanced, no fewer than 8 entrants picked up single points, but worthy of special mention were x-ray, Handbaglady, joto and paulineward, each of whom managed double hits. However, my heart goes out to barb7771 and jobjockey, who each had three hits but were late in the game (hence scoring only three points). Scant reward indeed for superb entries!
I’ll need some WD40 to free my abacus, which has locked after overheating!

Barb7771, to clarify what Lysander means by "it".
Whenever each link is correctly matched, a bonus point is available if the same link is matched during the following two minutes.
Often, the shrubery crowd rush in at 9:01 and match most of the links so after 9:03 there will only be slim pickings.
Sometimes a link isn't matched until the Sunday, but a bonus point will still be available to others for the next two minutes.
Whenever each link is correctly matched, a bonus point is available if the same link is matched during the following two minutes.
Often, the shrubery crowd rush in at 9:01 and match most of the links so after 9:03 there will only be slim pickings.
Sometimes a link isn't matched until the Sunday, but a bonus point will still be available to others for the next two minutes.
