39D A meadow by a river (3)

On the basis that I am correct with 38 A and 41 A then I have I - G and can find nothing to suit the clue! Much easier this month but foiled by a single letter!!

Thank you.
Somewhat obscure and unlikely to become my most frequently used word!
all very well, but is 32a chantarell or chanterell? Chambers gives both, French is chanterell, as used also in the English version of Larousse Gastronomique. I am going for chanterell anyway, but wonder what experienced solvers do to resolve such questions when both options are open
Greetings from sunny Wellington, NZ
and greetings to you, Wellingtonian, from sunny Adelaide, SA. I haven't even sighted The Gen yet, will print it off later and do very little for the rest of the weekend !!
