I'm really struggling with some clues. These are from the Daily Mail of 23rd January, which I found again and decided to carry on with! All of the clues have a cryptic and a quick clue for the same answer.

19A
Quick: Stupid (4)
Cryptic: With the sun near setting, it's stupid
D?N?

48A
Quick: Bit (4)
Cryptic: A bit taken aback by the vehicle
?V??
(If the V is wrong and the answer is CHIP, then what is 43D)

43D
Quick: Gift (5)
Cryptic: Just left in a gift
F?H?R
(If the H is wrong and the answer is FAVOR, then what is 48A)

49D
Quick: Prepared for (7)
Cryptic: When I left, it was wet
??A?E?I
(If the I is wrong and the answer is PAINTED, then what is 72A)

72A
Quick: Goodbye (6-3)
Cryptic: As a goodbye gift, bring a bouncy poodle in
?E?D?? - ?F?
(If the D is wrong and the answer is SEEINGOFF, then what is 49D)

58D
Quick: Greeting (3,2,3,2)
Cryptic: hello! This is a fine state of affairs!

46A
Quick: Hide (7)
Cryptic: Cheat, getting a lace wrap to cover up
L?N???H
(If the N and H are wrong and the answer is LEATHER, then what is 26D)

26D:
Quick: Excuse (6)
Cryptic: Mean to the fellow? Excuse me!
?A?D?A
(If the A is wrong and the answer is PARDON , then what is 46A)

That's all for now!
