I know it's early days but I am sure I've read the whole book cover to cover and I'd like to read something else for a change! Could anybody give me a gentle hint about where I might start looking for qs 4, 8 and 11 please? I have all the other answer and am prepared to give hints (much to early for anything more definite!) in exchange.

Indeed I am and despite the many hours of hard work I put into this I am prepared to share my answers here.

Here are the questions
4. Where do Black, White and Red geographical features share a name? (I'm thinking River Volta but can't find any reference to them in the book)
8. What links unpopular economic reform plans, a stubborn army chief and a television cookery show? (three separate page references needed - I've been reading through the book looking for mention of a TV cookery show since that would be the key to what they are after, but can't find one)
11. To which country did North Korea lose its top spot in 2007, and why? (the fact that it happend in 2007 rather than 2008 is a puzzling one - maybe making it sport related rather than connected to politics?)
Did North Korea have the tallest building back then? Am off to bed now but will think about the questions in my dreams!
Jane - You seem to be on the right track with River Volta.

4. The name Upper Volta indicated that the country contains the upper part of the Volta River. The river is divided into three parts, called the Black Volta, White Volta and Red Volta, and the colou

rs of the national flag corresponded to the parts of the river.

Brilliant! I'd been concentrating on Ghana for the Volta but after following your link I looked at the Burkina Faso entry and there it is in black and white.

I've been through the tallest buildings section several times but will have another search through it this morning

Glad I'm not buying Whitaker's this year!
Did South Korea take over in a political situation?
Could Master be a key word in all 3 clues?
Am still thinking and have subscribed to question.

So far the only connection I can find to TV cookery shows is Sir Clement Freud, who died in April.
