Oh no he`s very much a man of mystery like Zorro, many have tried to unmask him ,but he retains his enigmatic alter ego well.

I like to think of him as a (very early ) retired teacher, missing his students and spending much time to help the (not so bright) cruciverbists at the week ends....

personally I think he lounges on a day bed dispensing his knowledge ....with a glass or two of malt whisky...

Cryptics need logic so maybe mathematics, science or even an interest in computer programming?

On the other hand, he could be a mini-cab driver who gets to bed late and hence needs to lie in in the mornings.
