Morning (barely) All,

I'm very lucky and have had a friend download a load of stuff for me to watch and I feel like sharing my recommnendations... Mainly because my other friends are rubbish and don't like the sort of telly I do so I've no one to discuss with all the good stuff I've watched recently and I really, really enjoyed it and I've gotten all enthusiastic about it! Ahem... So anyway, my recommendations are...

Dexter (Well obviously)
True Blood (This is fantastically funny and well done)
Fringe
Santuary (Ok, ok, it's pretty cheesy but it's still fun!)
Damages (I suspect I'm the last person to catch on to this)
Burn Notice (Kind of a cool Magiver
Rome (1&2 & again, I may be late on the uptake)
Cracker (I just brought the box set and I'd forgotten how good this show was)

Do you have anything you've watched recently that you'd like to recommend or share with others?

Cheers
China

Do you know I actually find 24 a little dull unless I binge watch it and even then... I know that's not a popular opinion! :c)
my name is earl

I've caught a couple of those and they're not bad. I keep meaning to download Reaper as that looks quite good and I had started getting in to Supernatural too... Admittedly more for the elder brother than the plot line though.
What's fringe like? I forgot to watch the first episode and i don't want to join in halfway. I might buy the DVD if it's any good but i haven't heard too much about it.
I just dont find reaper funny at all. I do like life of riley
that why i've been watching supernatural, funny that.....

i've just watched all of auf weidersehn pet start to finish as i never saw it the first time round and throughly enjoyed it. also the first 3 series of bones, which were ok ( as long you haven't read the books otherwise you spend the first series screaming, "but that's just not right at the tv")

Verix - I really enjoyed Fringe. It's on a par with Mulder and Scully but much cooler in my opinion as I was never that interested in the allien story lines and there's more humour. I'd recommend it having watched the first series and I think there's a second one on the way too. I'm quite spoilt as I said because my friend just brings it down on a memory stick and puts it on my external hard drive so I don't have to buy it but I know that he uses a download site which I think is one you pay something a month for and then you can pretty much pick and choose so I can ask what it is he uses if you have the know how to do that sort of thing? (I'm rubbish at it). Mind you, he's a techy so it Gawd knows what sort of site it is!
Definitely My Name Is Earl- I've *ahem* downloaded 3 series of it so far and it's brilliant.

Tell ya when the Yanks do a good series, they do a good series!
Without a Trace and CSI are good (Vegas, Miami is silly and NY is far too worthy). If you genuinely enjoyed My Name is Earl try Reaper, it's a lot of fun. West Wing is a little out of date but very good, and Heroes starts again soon, but is not to everyones taste. UK stuff is not much cop at the moment since Life on Mars finished.

Your friend may be using limewire, but the major terrestrial stations show their programmes for a week, but the BBC doesn't always show all of them. If you fancied signing up for something yourself, I would recommend LoveFilm, they have every film and television programme available, and a few that aren't. Prices start from 3.95 a month, no fees other than that, they even pay the postage. They have recently got into doing downloads, but haven't really looked into it.

Oooh cheers Monkey, I might have a squizzle at that. I'm on a pay as you go broadband at the moment as I move around a lot so I don't have much capacity for doing my own downloads yet but I've also been seeing rumblings about Whitechapel which sounds like something I might like so I've got him on the case for that.

You gotta love CSI Miami, my sister had the box sets of those so we work our way through them when she visits from Oz and I liked WIthout a Trace too. Tell you what was also good in that ilk is Law & Order SVU, love that show and am thinking of getting the box set for that too.

I agree Boobies, when they get it right those yanks really get it right... my other obsession recently has been House, I love it! I've done up to season three and I'm hoping for 4 & 5 to be on the memory stick next time my mate is down... I'm starting to look forward to the stick more than the conversation ;0)
We do seem to be in minority among the people we know but current favourite in our house is 'The Big Bang Theory'.
Question Author
That Yinyang is class comedy in this room too! :c)
Thank you, China Doll, knew we couldn't be the only ones!
the big bang theory is just class... i have the weirdest crush on sheldon though i'm starting to get worried about myself
Question Author
I have a crush on him too! Perhaps we should get out more?
Unlucky Louie
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Sheldon's adorable - he's actually like an exaggerated version of my husband who will sit beside me joining in the on screen debates about superman and other geeky stuff.
The Christmas episode is the best, really quite touching, in a weird way.
