Many thanks for any help.

Which of the clues (not the other question) have you solved? I.e. have you narrowed down the location of the third, coastal, village?

etch,
Henry Williamson lived in Brockley ,from what I have been able to find out, for a short time in1930. but can't find it on the map, also thought of Swafecliffe. Think I am going to put this away for and hour or two and then look at it again. I thank you for jogging my dulled mind and making me take another look at this competition. Will let you know if I think I have found the correct answer, but don't hold out much hope this week as not very knowagable regarding Cockles,
Thanks again,
Chere.
You've got the correct novelist. In 1936 he bought a farm and subsequently wrote a book based on his experiences. The farm was located in a village near the coast. Googling for the name of the village and "cockles" should get you to the answer.
I've just tried the AnswerBank Web search with the name of the village and "cockles" and the 8th hit gives the answer.

I did have another look and realised that I was in the wrong area,, but w hen I read your answers I realised that I was totally in the wrong area .which now means that I have to double check the answer to the first question. Well it keeps one busy on a dull Sunday.
Thanks again,
