Pls help! I'm trying to complete a quiz for which all the answers are london underground stations - out of 100, I've only got 8 left to solve: (not in a crossword, so dont know any letters, but know they are NOT anagrams) "they are also kept on the south coast" "amphibious vehicle kept here?" "a wide but noisy avenue" "way for a gun?" "timber at the top" "not the dog's tail end" "make 'em jealous" "route to the scottish highlands?" Any suggestions gratefully received!
Thanks guys - i'm really impressed by not only your knowledge, but the speed with which you replied! The only one I'm struggling with is the "route to scottish highlands" because "caledonian road" was an answer to a previous clue, which was an anagram, so unlikely to be wrong, so thanks anyway and I'll continue to think about that.
hi madfifi. Probably wrong but there's a place called West Ferry near the Tay Bridge in Dundee. That's one route to the highlands of Scotland I suppose. Caledonian Road fits much better though xx
I'd used "west ferry" as the answer "go from here to ireland?", and "charing cross" as "dead eleanor rested here", but am open to persuasion! thanks again, everybody
